I bought this 16gb iTouch on black friday for $199.99 for my girlfriend. Sorta regret I didn't buy more than 1. Been playing around with hers for a few days and love it. Only thing is that I wish the wifi connectivity could be better, but that could be on my end using an older router. One small surprise was that I had to buy the software upgrade via itunes for $10 in order to get applications on it. But there are tons of free apps. For the price I paid, the product is definitely worth it.

This phone changed my life! I strongly urge you to invest in an Apple iPhone. It will forever change your feelings on mobile communications. br / br /Friends that were scared of technology are now embracing this new platform. A trend throughout my family has begun, who has the best songs, the most ringtones, the fun applications. Thanksgiving dinner was spent having Lightsaber duels underneath the family table. Great unit for older eyes and less nimble fingers...more user friendly. br /I've owned the smaller nanos, and at 66 years young, found it a bit tedious. br /Great games to download at a very reasonable price..easy to see on the bigger screen than nano, or classic. In color also. br /Nice for showing off the family photos, as one can actually see this larger screen with ease. br / br /However, get the 2nd generation itouch if you use a phone line modem. br /It's virtually impossible to download the upgrade of software on a phone line.( a $10 charge, by the way ) br / What upgrade you ask? Well...there is an 'app store' icon that is already on the 2nd generation (and on iphone), but lacking on the first generation itouch. One needs the 'app. store' software to download any games or desired other applications. br /I tried for 4 days to download this upgrade via modem, on two different computers, and two different phone lines. It always times out, and must be re-started from the beginning! (no 'resume download' here) br /I finally went to the Apple store, and used their Wi-Fi to get it loaded. br /Now I love my itouch! br /So, for an extra $20, get the 2nd generation...you'll spend $10 just for the download, and at least $10 in sweat and angst. ;) br / br / br /
