First off this spool is indeed 500' long. I had to research on another web site to confirm this. Even though the title says "S12-500" I needed clarity. Amazon should have done a better job with the product description.
Pros you need to know:
- Oxygen-free wire
- Thick, clear shielding/sleeve
- Very easy to cut
- Very easy to bend
- Two tone wire; copper and silver color
- Clearly marked "+" along with "foot" increments on the sleeve
Cons:
- Several of the wire stands aren't wound tight. You can see through the clear sleeve and notice individual/rogue strands of copper not wrapped tightly and/or bunched up. I doubt it affects fidelity. There should have been better QA at the factory.
I would have given this 5-stars if it wasn't for the rogue-strand issue.
