if you're low on cash... then its vizio for your.... August 27, 2008 M. GRIGGS (New Carrollton, MD) No... but seriously.... It's a great deal with a comparable picture to all the other main players in the HDTV market. I purchased mine from Sears about two years ago, and it's worked perfectly... Games look sharp, movies come to life and paying for a high def package is worth it. Hey it's simple math... WHY pay up to 1200.00 when you can pay 600 and get pretty much the same thing... Unless your're one of those people that has to have every thing sinked up. Bravia tv, ps3, sony reciever etc..... Hey, with the money saved, you can purchase one of those all in one remotes!
Good product line, Horrendous customer service August 11, 2008 Y. Galatzer (MI US) I actually bought a different model from Vizio, which was of good quality... However when you try to get customer support online, make yourself a cup of coffee, and take some valiums, because you will need to be very relaxed in the long wait and pretty amazing answers: Let me just describe some of them 1. Our TV broke down and they agreed to fix it, the fix did not work (took about 7-10 days for a tech to show up). Then took as a month to set up the appointment to replace the TV, the story was that their database changed.... who cares??? I bought a product for 1,300$ just give me a timely answer 2. We decided to move and had to by a replacement box for the shipment, at that point they sell it to you for 160$ (shipping + cost of the box)... WOW, not cheap. But we had to do it anyways, 10 days later, no answer on where it is, no tracking info (hey 21st century has arrived), and promised answers within 48 hours (business hours.... what the hell does that means?). Tried to cancel the order, they would not let me do that either... Make a long story short, pay the extra 200$ and go for another product with a reasonable back. This was my first and last product from Vizio. I gave it two stars because during the time it works, it's actuall pretty reasonable.
four failures August 6, 2008 S. D. Ford (Phoenix, Az USA) I first purchased this product about a year ago. Luckily, the warranty was still in effect when it failed. They sent a new board out and the repair man did the installation. This one failed within days. The HDMI and the composite connections would not work. They sent another one out and it was dead out of the box. They then asked me to send mine back. They sent a box for me to return it but the shipping was on me. I wanted them to send a new set and I would send mine back in the box but even with offering to give my credit card for security they would not agree. The latest one I got has now failed after about two months. The only area that will work is the S-Video on the side of the set. So, now I have this nice looking tv with wires hanging out of the side and not broadcasting in HD.
Wow. June 21, 2008 Gregory Bowen (Alabama) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is my first HDTV. I initially heard about the brand through a commercial featuring LaDanian Thomlinson. I'm a football fan, so I payed attention. I am so glad I did. I knew going into the shopping process that I was interested in a Vizio, but I wanted to make sure it was the right brand. After looking around for a week or two, I finally came to the conclusion that my initial interest was right on. If you are looking for a solid HDTV, Vizio is the brand. The picture quality is amazing, the sound is great, and the price is unbeatable. Don't even consider a different brand, there's a reason this is the fastest growing company in America. When you think HD, think Vizio.
Fantastic Product at a Great Price May 3, 2008 Christoph Koch (San Antonio, TX) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This product was the second Vizio brand HDTV I bought for my house, and the quality is great throughout. I got this at Walmart for 597 about two months ago and have not had a single problem. The TV has two HDMI outputs, and supports up to 1080i. For under 600 dollars this HDTV has the size, resolution, and quality of a great purchase.
