I bought this TV in March 2008 and in early July it was dead. I checked out Sharps web site and got the name of Sharps authorized repair shop. I br /brought the TV there and the repairman says wow, we've been getting a lot of these, let me check the computer. He then says Sharp will NO longer allow the shop to repair the TV and it has to be sent back to Sharp at your expense, plus insurance. Sharp then charges you $[...] just to look at and a minimum of $[...] to return it to you insured. Also ONLY materials are covered, you have to pay the labor to have this piece of crap repaired. br /I will never buy another Sharp product. They are Thieves!!!!!
Great resolution but low volume June 15, 2008

This is a great tv which I mounted on my kichen wall. Great resolution and contrast. My kitchen has many windows and bright but still great view, especially the HDTV channels. br / br /However, the volume is very very small. Even at full volume I can still hardly hear it. Forget about enjoying stero sound when dealing with such small narrow speaker. I will now need to go and buy a separate speaker which loses elegance as it clusters the wall. br / br /

I purchased this TV from my local Circuit City on it's release of 6/8/2008, This replaced the previous model. I wanted a larger screen as my previous set was a 13 inch. The set has a super clear picture with many extras. The gloss black case looks nice but is a dust and fingerprint magnet, and the remote feels very cheap. My issue comes from the sound, Even at full volume it can barely be heard, I've read this with other small sharp sets but had hoped it was corrected with this new model. I had to hook up an external powered speaker (JBL On Tour Portable Speaker System) to get any sound. Other than the sound I would reccomend this set. I paid 419 just for the record.

i got this tv for my 15th birthday about two weeks ago. I have been playing my xbox 360 on 1080i and it looks awesome! My only complaint is that the volume doesn't go up very loud. All in all this is a great, slim, br /beautiful tv. I watched a regular movie on it and it made standard definition look high def.
