5 out of 5 stars Great Player   March 5, 2007

I bought this DVD Player about 2 years ago for around $200.00 for the price that you can buy it for now that is a steal, I watch a lot of Asian movies that are coded this player auto puts the codes in so you don't have to go crazy. A must own if you watch a lot of DVDs from other Countries, or if your just looking for a great DVD Player in general.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome player!   January 3, 2007

Works great with any region DVD. Took one overseas to family there and the 220 volt feature was great as well. No problems after 6 months.

5 out of 5 stars Exceeded already high expectations!   September 8, 2006

I just got my player today, and it's even better than I could have imagined. I'm not a tech person, but I was able to hook the player up in under 30 minutes. I didn't have to do anything special to get it to play DVDs from 3 different regions, including in the PAL format. It does it all AUTOMATICALLY--all I have to do is put the DVD in the tray! What could be easier? Both picture and sound quality are better than my old player, which did NOT play DVDs from outside my region. The player is sleek and about half the size of my former player. I could not be more satisfied with this product. HIGHLY recommended!!!!

2 out of 5 stars Tray did not open   August 4, 2006

First off, I purchased this because of all of it's features and sleak design. However, when I received the unit and pushed the eject button, the tray got stuck. Looks like the tray is misaligned and one corner of it interferes with the face. I purchased this from North Star Electronics who tests all of their units to be region free which means that at one time or another the tray would have been opened in order to test it. Upon speaking with the customer service rep, he believes that it was working when it left North Star, but probably got damaged during shipping. Not sure what to believe but it was disappointing because I now have to pay to have it shipped back for an exchange. I wish they build electronics like they used to.
