Product Description
Denon DVD-757 is much nore than a DVD player. More people are recording their own DVD or CD either through computers or home systems with audio and video files. The DVD-757 plays them. It plays finalized CD-R/RW discs (single-session or multi-session) containing MP3 and WMA audio files. It also reads still photos in the Kodak Picture CD or JPEG format taken by a digital camera. It will also play SACD discs. Playback is fully programmable with sequential, random and repeat modes.BR Of particular note is the addition of HDMI and Component-Video ports which allow connectivity to new HDTV screens for progressive-scan play of current DVDs at up to 480p and upconversion for 720p and 1080i on compatible TV displays. BR Last, but certainly not least, is the dependability and high standards that Denon upholds for fine stereo and home-theater A/V components. It is set apart from others in an upper-class to itself. When seeking the best performance from your home-theater system, the Denon DVD-757 clearly contributes a level of versatility and quality that you demand, expect, and appreciate. 1 out of 5 stars Denon DVD -757 is a piece of junk   September 6, 2008

This player is a piece of crap. I have struggled with it for more than a year. Whenever it gets to a DVD it has trouble with it just freezes and none of the buttons including power will work. You have to unplug the thing from the wall to even get the disk out. Don`t expect any help from Denon either. DON`T BUY THIS PLAYER!!!

4 out of 5 stars Very good DVD player.   August 30, 2007

Rather than go into the features of this machine(you can read about those in the product description above), I'll just write that this DVD player does an excellent job of rendering both digital images and sound. Although it is just one step above Denon's entry-level DVD player, it nonetheless bristles with technological features expected in this price range and beyond and its performance shows it. br / br /The instructions are well-written and setup is very straightforward. Operation is easy. The display is in Denon's typical blue-lit clarity and is simple and easy to read with no ambiguity. The remote is mostly well-designed, but the separation of Open/Close and Mode from the other operational buttons such as Play, FF, Rewind, etc. is not intuitive and a bit annoying. (I solved this issue with a universal remote.) The picture modes, angle and zoom features, and search modes are really useful and add to the enjoyment of watching a movie. The buttons press inward with a high quality resistance and feel and the DVD tray opens and shuts smoothly and quietly. Everything about this machine exudes attention to detail and quality manufacture. br / br /Good as it is, I'm giving it only four stars because it is handily beaten by the Oppo 981HD both in features and in price. (I recently purchased the Oppo and it's just amazing.) Nonetheless, this Denon is no slouch and would be an excellent DVD player for a modest to mid-priced home theater system. br / br /Recommended.
