Initial's IDM-830 portable DVD player lets you decide when the movie starts wherever you are--in the kitchen, on a plane, or in the comfort of your own bed. The IDM-830 has an 8-inch active matrix LCD screen and S-video and composite A/V outputs so you can connect it to your home theater system. In addition to playing DVD movies and CD audio, the IDM-830 is compatible with DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-R/RW, and Kodak Picture disc formats and MP3 and JPEG digital file formats. It features two built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack, and it also provides Dolby Digital and DTS compatibility and an optical digital audio output. The IDM-830 features multi-aspect ratio playback capability (4:3 pan/scan, 4:3 letterbox, and 16:9 widescreen) and multi-angle viewing capability. It has a unique features that can zoom multimedia playback 2x, 3x, or 4x the original size (or shrink it by 1/2, 1/3, or 1/4 the size). Other DVD playback features include frame by frame, shuffle/program, and reverse/forward speeds up to 32x. It's powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery (with 2-hour video playback or 4-hour audio playback) or the AC adapter.
