My husband drives a truck and forever gets turned around; since this item was designed for trucks I got one for him. He is admittedly technology challenged so he is very careful, however the unit is defective. The place you plug it in doesn't connect on the inside and the unit shuts down. if the plug in moves at all the unit shuts off. I have written to the Teletype people and they will not return my emails. We bought it here through Amazon from SKYBOX. Now he can't drive that truck and hold this unit perfectly still; no one appears to care that we now have a $350.00 paperweight! Apparently there is no warranty even though we registered the product (they never sent confirmation for that either. If you buy this you are on your own.

I purchased this and after one navagation it kept erroring out. I left message for support and never received a return phone call. I did get incontact with them and was sent a new update (VIA MAIL ). Have not tried it yet because I just got it. I feel that a company that charges 15 % restocking fee ( no exceptions ) and no quality checkes before shipping is a company that you stay away from.

This item was a gift for my husband who is a truck driver and really was looking forward to this product. However, it takes a couple of minutes to figure out things and when he is driving, he needed something that will take a couple of seconds not a couple of minutes! He used the unit only once and wanted to return it. According to the distributor (AntOnline), since it was "used", we couldn't return it no matter what! Did not quite like that part.

You could not here the voice on the gps and when I called about it all to see if there was anything that could be done about it. The people at Telotype acted like they could care less and said there was nothing to be done. All they wanted to do was sell me a more expensive one so I could here it. What a joke. I sent it back.

The product is undeveloped. The idea is good but it was not achieved. Extremely small screen which makes it very hard to see. The device freezes constantly. For the truck route GPS, it's very badly designed. Takes me through areas where trucks are prohibited. Huge delay on current location. For example, I cross a side street and the device still shows me that tha street is ahead of me. Terrible product. I am in the process of returning it.
