In addition, the device can store data files, digital photos, and other items in a pinch. so you can transfer items to a friend's PC without burning a CD-ROM or buying a portable flash drive. It worked fine for about a year. Then it started tweaking like crazy. Every once in a while, I'd have to reset the player because it would randomly act up in the middle of a song. By act up, I mean it starts making this weird loud tone that can't be stopped unless you reset the player.

This is my 5th MP3 player - I have an iPod and a Sandisk currently in service and a Sandisk and an RCA that I've retired. I'm not a huge fan of the Samsung brand, but this looked so nice, it kind of jumped off the shelf at me.
This is a VERY slick little player. Great sound, absolutely simple to use, intuitive command menu, easy-to-manipulate, unambiguous buttons. Solid, sleek construction, second only to iPod. Easy-to-read very visibe display, even for my tired old eyes. The player is just the perfect size, too.
Has a hole for a lanyard, but lacks a carrying case, which would be a nice addition.
It also has a true shuffle function that doesn't repeat songs, like many of the little players seem to do.
No second thought here, this is a fantastic product. As soon as the 2GB version goes on sale in the US, I will buy it, too.

I'm 15 and used to own an ipod mini with 4GB. It broke though and I realized I didn't even need 4GB. I love this little Samsung mp3 player. It's got great sound, the lithium ion battery has 13 hours of life, it recharges very quickly, it's easy to download music, it's stylish, it's pretty durable, the buttons are shiny (haha! I love shiny!), and a lot more. This is a great mp3 player and if you don't get this one, whatever you do don't get an ipod. The only reason so many people use ipods is because they were the first to have TV commercials. And if you want one that plays video as well don't get an ipod video. Now they've come out with mp4 players!

I love this little guy.
The batteries are great and there is just enough space to fit everything that I want to have on it. It is affordable, decent, and it can go really loud! I have dropped it several times and it is still working perfectly.
It is perfect.

My son and I could never figure out how to download music or anything else on this mp3 player. I was looking for one to record books on tape. Amazon was amazing, they took the item in return. I'm so glad I ordered it fromt them. When I figure out which one does what I want I will surely order from Amazon again.
