I wanted a powerful portable stereo that plays mp3's, and this fits the bill to a T. Plenty of volume, good solid (adjustable) bass, and plays mp3's without a hiccup! Great unit, just what I expected from Sony.

I bought this system to place in my garage in oder to play my MP3 player through the speakers. The sound is great playing in MP3, CD, or radio mode. It has a handy remote to adjust or change channels but, it's small and I'll probably spend a lot of time looking for it. For the price range I don't believe there is a better deal but, it is big, I mean real big so, don't plan on carrying it around too much. For me, other than the gaudy looks and the size, it will serve it's purpose. Please keep in mind that this review is coming from a 52 year old man so, my bet is that if you're in your 20's and 30's this unit is just what you are looking for.

I often travel teaching stepping classes. I may be in a large space, small space...basement, yard, studio, gym, dance hall. People need to hear the sounds (beat)loud and clear. This box is perfect for my purposes. A music teacher friend of mines that I was telling about my problem said that her school purchased 10. She said it has plenty of sound, she rolls it around but she can easily walk down the halls with it if she wanted to. Drawbacks, the viewer is small and it is not something that you would want to decorate your living room with. Other than that, this box takes care of business. I am glad that I purchased it. Anywhere that I go, if sounds are needed, I have plenty.

This Sony boom box CFDG700CP has plenty of base and great sound. I really like the style and all the features. I would purchase this product again if I needed another boom box. I ceretainly would recommend this product to others.

Purchased this Sony Boombox through Amazon. Superfast shipping!! Now to the Boombox. Given it's size, this Sony pours out the finest sound of any boombox I've previewed. The looks might be a bit futuristic, but don't let that dampen your view of this Sony. I listened to last years model, the 500, and it's not remotely close to the great sound of this years! Other reviewers are correct that a backlight display would make this boombox perfect. That aside, this is well worth your money, and I'm certain you will appreciate the sound as I do. Take Care!!
