Product Description The world is getting smaller. Perspectives remain different. It's interesting to hear how USA politics and events are discussed in different countries. I know. I listen to newscasts around the world with my shortwave radio. When you want full shortwave capabilities and a classic design, choose the Eton Grundig Satellit 750. 360-degree rotating AM antenna enhances the radio's tuning sensitivity to help you pull in weak signals. You can listen to AM, FM, Shortwave with SSB and aircraft band frequencies, and you can program in up to 100 of your favorites for each band (up to a total of 1000 for all bands). You can also connect your MP3 player through an auxiliary input for even more listening choices. I've used Grundig shortwaves for years. The Satellit 750 makes listening to the world easier and better than ever. Auto Tuning Storage function (ATS) for FM/AM/Shortwave Mute function 1000 station memories (each band 100 memories, 500 customizable Dual alarm clock function 12K AM output socket Line in socket (can be used as speaker for MP3) Line out socket (radio broadcasting can be transferred to other device) External antenna jacks for both AM/FM Power source - AC/DC-6V power supply Unit Dimensions - 14.65 x 7.24 x 5.75 and 372mm x 184mm x 146mm (W x H x D) Accessories - owner's manual, warranty card

Mad December 17, 2008 Eugene Evans Jr. 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm mad at myself that I didn't buy a less expensive radio and did not pay attention to the one star reviews. I had thrown away all of my papers, box etc, so I couldn't return the radio. The radio can not pick up the clock in Colorado. At 5000kHz there is nothing to hear. At 10000 kHz, you can barely hear a tick with the volume wide open. At 15000kHz, nothing. The religious programs broadcast from US is about the only reception that I have. Havana, Cuba comes and goes. Don't buy this radio. Look at the reviews of the less expensive radios to make your decision. AM & FM are ok for local broadcasts. In between locals, there is a lot of noise.
This radio is not a good buy!! December 5, 2008 L. N. Bell (Clayton, CA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The Single Side Band (SSB) reception is just awful. No synchronous detection. The wide bandwidth setting is useless and the signal strength meter is horribly inaccurate. My system memory feature was impossibly difficult to use. A radio costing less than $100 (Kaito 2100) far outperforms this Grundig! Don't waste your money on this turkey. Neil Bell
At half price it might be good...... December 1, 2008 Harry D. Taylor (Chicago, IL) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Terrible radio, not worth the money. Bandwiths are wrong, SSB is horrible. This radio should have never left the factory the way it is. It does look good but don't let that fool you. Inside it is junk. I'm glad Amazon has the refund policy it does. If you buy it you will be too. If it were half the price I would say I got what I paid for.At 300.00 you are wasting your money. These are just my thoughts on what I got. Yours may vary. HT
Grundig Satellit 750 October 21, 2008 Arthur Thompson 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
The Grundig Satellit 750 is now available. Forget the negative comments. This is my third shortwave radio and by far this one is the best .I really like it very much.I had my doubts after reading the other reviews. The owner's manual is easy to understand but could include more information. A listening guide is a must to help identify stations .It's a nice radio .The overall reception is good .The control knobs are on the small size and the volume knob is on the left .Other than that I am well satisfied with it as a shortwave listener. t
Ok performer but nothing special. Awful SSB Performance. August 20, 2008 Craig Still (Berea, KY) 16 out of 19 found this review helpful
The radio works fairly well on AM and Shortwave. FM performance is quiet good. SSB (Single Side Band) performance is very poor. Good candidate for the $199.00 class but at $300.00 it is just not worth it to me. For the same money you can have two Grundig G5 radios or a good used Sony 2010. In the future companies like Kiwa may elect to offer some improved filters for the radio. If so, that may make it more attractive to the Dxing and SWLing community. On the other hand, that adds additional cost to an already overly priced radio for the level of performance offered.
