Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Sony KV-13FM14 is another flat-screen television in the illustrious Wega line. This 13-inch set offers a 3-line digital comb-filter and vertical aperture compensation, both of which should help to produce clean, highly defined images by minimizing the effects of dot-crawl and moire. The KV-13FM14 provides both a front and a rear set of A/V inputs with compostie video only, as well as a rear RF input and a headphone jack. The on-screen menu labels may be attached to each channel. Furthermore, an on-screen display will show which component is connected to each particular video input.

Amazon.com Product Description
With a 13-inch diagonal screen and relatively compact housing, the Sony KV-13FM14 fits comfortably on top of a dresser, on the kitchen counter, or on a well-sized bookshelf. Yet despite its diminutive dimensions, the TV still packs a video punch, with a Trinitron flat picture tube that minimizes distortion and glare and a three-line digital comb filter that improves resolution and clarity. The flat tube enhances the viewing angle of the TV, letting users watch from the corner of the room without squinting, while the comb filter separates the luminance (Y) and color (C) signals to provide a more precise image. The TV also employs a Dynamic Picture processor, which refines the detail in both shadowed and sunlit areas of a scene so the viewer can always enjoy the action.

The TV also comes equipped with a V-chip control, so parents can restrict the content of their children's viewing, along with a previous channel button, favorite channel selections (up to five), a sleep timer (with 15-, 30-, 45-, 60-, and 90-minute settings), an auto mute function, and a two-event clock timer. It also offers a multilingual onscreen menu, a headphone jack for private listening, and front AV inputs for easy connection with game consoles or camcorders. In addition, the TV is Energy Star compliant.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars not nearly as blue as I had hoped, but otherwise perfect!   November 11, 2008

I've wanted this TV for years, and just recently was able to find it at a price I could afford. I had a cute little 13 inch RCA tv for my bedroom that was as pretty and blue as could be, but unfortunately, it wasn't working very well any more; I had an atari hooked up to it, and no matter what I did, the games only showed up in black and white. Also, the sound quality was pretty bad on some channels. I really didn't want to get rid of the little TV, though, because it was so cute and blue. On the other hand, I knew it would cost way more than it was worth to try and get it fixed. So, I was resigned to just dealing with crappy sound and black and white Atari for as long as the tv continued to function.
About 2 weeks ago, however, I came across this little blue sony quite by accident, and since I've always wanted it, I couldn't resist. I received the tv last week, and it appears to be brand new and works perfectly. My Atari is in color now, and all the sound problems have disappeared. Unfortunately, I can't really describe this TV as being blue. My old RCA 13 inch TV was a clear electric blue, very pretty, but this little Sony is blue-grey at best. So, either the seller I bought this TV from sent me the wrong color of this model, or Sony should have never marketed this as being blue. Still, it's a great little television for the bedroom, and if the 9-year-old 36 Inch Sony I have in my living room is any indication, I can look forward to many years of reliable and trouble-free service from this set.
