The 32HL83 is a 32" Theaterwide True 720p HD LCD display with built-in speakers and a tuner. HD Dynamic Contrast feature continually analyzes picture information and enhances those parts of the picture with the most detail information which results in a sharper, deeper, more film-like image.Cinema Mode (3: 2 Pulldown Switch) circuitry identifies original film based content from DVDs, it then reassembles the frame sequence to more accurately reproduce the original 24 frame film-based material. This process eliminates artifacts and results in sharp, accurate full-frame progressive images.SRS WOW & Virtual Dolby combines SRS 3D (creates a wide three-dimensional sound field), TruBass (boosts bass frequency perception for more dramatic low frequency effects), and Focus (raises the sound image vertically to create clearer voices) which enhances the Home Theater experience. StableSound maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal.Using the IR output and the IR dongle, the user can operate their video components by simply pointing the remote at the TV screen, even if the components are hidden away. Inputs can now be directly selected from the remote's numbered keypad without scrolling through all the inputs. QuickConnect Guide acts as a set-up wizard helping the consumer in connecting the antenna or cable box and with performing initial channel scan and other basic set-up functions.

First got this and was really dissapointed. This repalced a 27" Sony Wega - non HDTV. Watchung tv, and dvd's with a progressive scan dvd player, well, the Sony was just as good or better with the picture. I then ordered HD through my local cable company. Iwas stunned at the results...although only a handfull of theit offerings are in HD, the few they have look real good. Buy this TV, sign up with VOOM tv and get a Samsung HD DVD player, you may never leave your house again.
