Horrible Customer service December 31, 2008 Joe (pompano beach, fl United States) This TV failed 1 (one) week after the 1 year warranty.(no power) Viewsonic customer service was ignorant and rude and would not help me at all. I find that many many ViewSonic video products fail premature. So a word to he wise--->"AVOID VIEWSONIC!!" they are garbage.
Terrible buy! Very disappointing quality & service. October 22, 2008 H. Alford 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My ViewSonic N2751W 27" LCD won't come on. The red light which used to stay on (and turn to green when the set was turned on) is gone. The red light will come on briefly if I unplug and plug it back in. I purchased it in 2006 and have only had it out of the box for about 6 months of very light use during which it didn't seem to have any problems. ViewSonic's online help was no help at all, just the suggestion that I get it repaired (really?). After doing some research I found this may be a common issue that requires a new power supply. From what I have gathered that should cost well over $300 and I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Okay for the price but not the best TV June 11, 2008 Consumer Maven (Chicago, IL USA) Orginally I bought this based on Viewsonic's reputation as a monitor company. I've had several Viewsonic monitors and always loved them. As a TV I'm not so crazy about the product. When I first received my tv, and this was our first lcd tv, I had to call customer support and they were great. At one point they thought it was a defective product and were ready to immediately ship a replacement out and pick the current one up, until we figured out the problem. I have no issue with the support, which was based in the USA. My only issue with the tv developed with time. When switching from DVD to TV as an input mode, the input menu was difficult to read from the couch so we'd have to get up to see the menu. Also, the remote sensor often didn't work properly after about a year, and it would often take multiple attempts to finally get the input menu to appear. The quality of the picture was good, but nothing compared to the Sony which I just replaced this tv with. Still, for the price, it was a great tv with the exception of that pesky input menu inconsistency. I originally gave it 3/5 stars, but it is more like 3.5/5 stars after a year. Service was 5/5 stars.
Don't Buy Viewsonic !!! April 12, 2008 C. Colombo (NY,NY,USA) The Viewsonic is an inferior product and the company knows it. Their is absolutely NO customer support. It appears to be a good value at first but, when it inevitably screws up(just after the warranty expires, hmmmm!) and they simply say ,sorry I can't help you.Congratulations, you now are the proud owner of a $700 coat rack. Good value. This product is trash. DON'T BUY
Good enough, I guess.. June 25, 2007 G. Shannon (San Francisco, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have it mounted on the wall and it is both a TV and PC monitor for me. It does not pick up broadcast HD and there's nothing specific in the manual about that. So it just might be me, but I don't know how to receive the signal. Also, it either loses touch with the remote a lot or the remote eats up batteries like nobody's business, because it seems all too often the remote doesn't get through to the TV. It works again after I put in new batteries.
