Amazon.com Product Description Toshiba's Regza line of TVs marry state-of-the-art technology to hip design. One feature that sets them apart is PixelPure 14-bit digital video processing, which creates more than 4,000 levels of color gradations for a smooth, natural-looking picture without posterization or image banding. Another benefit is a fast response time. Response time is the interval an LCD screen takes to from its darkest color to its lightest color and back again, measured in milliseconds (ms). This screen's response time is 8 ms, which is at the faster and better end of the spectrum. This screen is likely to display cleaner, sharper images during high-action scenes and with fewer image artifacts than other screens in its class. This technology is housed in a black gloss cabinetry that is sure to fit well with most any decor. pThe 32HL67 has a panel resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. This qualifies it as 720 progressive-line HDTV, which is a noticeably better picture than standard definition sets, but not as detailed as the 1080 HD sets available. Its 16:9 wide screen aspect ratio delivers most movies the way they were meant to be seen in the theater, without back bars wasting the top and bottom of the screen./p pbThe Value of LCD TVs/bbr Aside from their obvious aesthetic value, LCD TVs are much more practical in the home than CRT (tube-style) televisions. They take up a smaller footprint, and thus use up less floor space in the room. Also, LCD TVs are lighter and easier to move around when cleaning or redecorating. The 32HL67 is only 4.65 inches deep and weighs less than 35 pounds. Best of all, LCD screens use less power than CRTs and plasma screens./p pbConnections/bbr The set has a built-in digital television tuner, so out of the box it can receive digital broadcast ATSC signals and QAM signals used by most digital cable providers. It also has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner, so it can also accept traditional analog signals. It can also make these connections to your audio and video components: ul liHDMI inputs: 3/li liColorStream HD component video inputs: 2/li liPC monitor input: 1 VGA 15 Pin D-sub/li liS-video input: 1/li liA/V inputs: 2/li /ul/p pbAudio/bbr The unit's SoundStrip speaker system hides the unit's speakers in a thin strip bordering the screen. They're powerful enough to deliver big stereo sound, but they don't add significantly to the size of the set. Toshiba's StableSound feature maintains television volume within a preset range regardless of the source signal. This is an extremely useful feature when transitioning between a quiet television program and a very loud commercial advertisement or when changing channels. SRS WOW, a combination of SRS 3D, TruBass, and Focus sound-expanding systems, create a 3-D sound field with improved bass response over standard TV audio and create directed, three-dimensional audio sweet spot for maximum enjoyment. The TV also has optical digital output for connecting to your audio system. /p pb32-inch wide screen/bbr A general rule of thumb for selecting the right size television screen is that the screen width--not its 32-inch diagonal measurement--should be between three and five times the optimum viewing distance, such as the distance from the TV screen to where your eyes are while sitting on the couch. Less than that and you may be distracted by the scan lines of the picture. More than that, and you may lose the detail of your TV. Based on this guide, the 32HL67 is ideal for viewing distances of seven to 12 feet./p pbWhat's in the Box/bbr 32HL67, stand, 4-item universal remote, stand, warranty and product manuals./p

I've owned it for over a year with no problem November 11, 2008 G. Clarkson (Hartsdale, New York) I have had this 32HL67U for about fourteen months and have had no problems at all. The picture is sharp and colorful. 1080i content looks great over cable and the set does a good job upconverting a raw 480i DVD signal. Pretty good sound for a 32" LCD is icing on the cake. This was a good deal when I bought it a Amazon and I am fully satisfied. I have friends who have also been pleased with their REGZA's. I am sorry that many people here seem to have issues but I would buy Toshiba again when I purchase a larger HDTV.
Great for 1 year and 2 months November 2, 2008 B. Harston (TX) This was a great TV for 1 year and 2 months (convienient for Toshiba that my warranty expired), but then one day I tried to turn it on and got sound but no picture. I took it to a repairman to hear that I was out of luck and that he has had a lot of the same problems with Toshiba (the panels going out). So if you want a TV for long enough for your warranty to expire then this is the TV for you. By the way customer service sucks and all they recommened was that I unplug the TV for 3 minutes and try it again...Don't buy this TV or any other Toshiba you will waste your money!
Failed after a year. Toshiba Support Marginal October 26, 2008 Jack Thompson (San Antonio, TX) I had been thoroughly enjoying this TV for the past year. It has offered sharp picture, great sound, and truly was a great bargain. This was until about a month ago, when the TV lost picture out of the blue. It still powered on and played sound, but no picture. I sent it in for a warranty repair but they can't seem to locate the part needed at this time.
It's been a year October 25, 2008 P. Winston (West Chester PA USA) I've had this TV for a year now and it's outstanding. The picture is great and absolutely no problem. It was child's play to attach my Bose speaker and second DVD player. br / br /Delivery and setup was also outstanding.
Bummer October 21, 2008 Jesse L. Adams (USA) Customer service rude and of little help. TV failed 10 days out of 1 year br /warranty, I have another identical unit that is starting to act like it to is failing.
