Product Description Ready for HD done the Sony way? Sony's KDL-46V4100 brings 1080p picture quality home with amazing, Sony-exclusive features like the XMB (Xross Media Bar) with 3D graphics, DMeX capability so you can add functionality to your TV, and picture quality technologies like ACE (Advanced Contrast Enhancer) and BRAVIA Engine 2. Full HD 1080p means the V4100 connections accept 1080p signals and the Display will render that signal in Full HD 1080p. Take full advantage of Blu-ray Disc players and PlayStation(R) 3 systems that can deliver 1080p content. The latest version of Sony's respected BRAVIA Engine fully Digital video processor uses a collection of unique SONY algorithms to significantly reduce noise and produce sharp, vibrant, life-like images. With Sony's Advanced Contrast Enhancer (ACE), which uses real-time image processing to dynamically adjust backlight levels for improved Contrast without masking details the filmmaker intended you to see. ACE delivers deep blacks in darker scenes, as well as fine details in shadows and other dark areas of the picture for a difference you can truly see. Add to that a sophisticated, piano black design, 24p capability so you can get the most out of the movies you watch on Blu-ray and DVD, 4 HDMI inputs along with three other HD-capable connections, and what you have is a television that can bring dreams to life. Great TV, Great Service October 14, 2008 Texas888 (Irving, TX) This is my first HD TV. After researching for about a month, I have compared Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba, and finally chose this Sony. All these TVs are top-rated and have great picture quality, but what pushed me to the Sony were 3 things: br / br /1. Sound - Sony is the only model with a sound bar in the front which produces better sounds than other brands. br /2. Look - Sony has a silver sound bar and a small space with glass underneath the LCD screen. It just looks better than most of the other brands that feature all black frames. br /3. Reliability - I am basing this on past experience. My last 2 TVs were both Sony. They each lasted over 12 years. In fact both are still working today. I expect this Sony HD TV to be just as reliable. br / br /Although Sony TVs are a bit more expensive than the other brands, I think the 3 factors above justified the premium. An added bonus was the delivery from Amazon - I ordered this TV on Thursday night and it was delivered and set up in my house on Saturday afternoon!! I guess I got lucky because I live close to an Amazon warehouse where they have the TV in stock. Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise.
Love it October 14, 2008 Greenstem We love this TV. We debated about spending more $$$ to get a 120Hz version, but decided we couldnt really tell much difference. We watch action movies on cable and DVD and dont really notice any motion blur. However, admittedly we do not watch much sports which would probably be the worst case for motion blur. I am normally very critical of any display artifacts, but we dont see any hint of them with this TV. br /All in All a great purchase br /
Wonderful! October 5, 2008 dml219 (Apex, NC) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We just received this tv and it is wonderful. Granted, this is our first HDTV, but we are awestruck by the color saturation and the clarity. Better yet, the price was right. We got it for $1419 with free shipping. It arrived in less than a week.
Love that Bravia! October 3, 2008 June Spellman (Lakeway, TX USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
br /We recently ordered a 46" Sony Bravia from Amazon. Service was amazing - actually arrived exactly when Amazon said it would, undamaged. Later ordered a remote for it, which arrived by FexEx the next day! Go, Amazon!!!
Super clear HD September 16, 2008 S. Wadhawan (Texas, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This was my first HD purchase and we have been very happy with it. Delivered on-time. Easy to set up. Great picture and clarity even during the day light. We have hooked up to surround sound and watching movies and HD cable channels are totally different experience. I know some people believe that you won't be able to tell a difference between HD and regular TV - YOU CAN! It's a totally different TV watching experience. You'd never want to go back.
