Cant complain for $125........ January 8, 2009 Marc A. Garza (Saint Amant) I just helped install this unit im my friends 07 F-250 crewcab. We had originally planned on installing it under the front seat figuring we'd have plenty of room.Nope.The grap bar that slides the seat back and forth wouldnt let that happen. Plan B. We Just layed it behind the rear seat sitting on it's side.Did some some adjustments on his pioneer headunit and fired it up.It does what I expected.Added to the low end of the factory speakers. No rattles.Sound is pretty solid. It doesnt go really low in his application though. To be expected with how small the enclosure is and the cab room it has to fill.Still impressed for what it is. Would recomend to others.Just gotta know what to expect. :)
Just Freakin' Fantastic! January 4, 2009 G. Craig (Texas) I bought this product in hopes of rejuvenating my system in my 79 300D Mercedes Benz. If you own a similar type of vehicle, you'll understand that audio wasn't the most important feature on any vehicle back then. My speakers had great highs and mids, but could never obtain that "bump" that could round out the system all together. On first receiving this package, you'll be dumbfounded on how shiny and sturdy this sub woofer really is. Weighing in around 9lbs, it can accommodate easily under the seat, or if that isn't an option, you can install it in the passenger floorboard area with plenty of legroom left over. And trust me, you'll think this thing is not capable of the power it really has, just wait. After installing it and finally testing it out... I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! This had so much more power than I expected. It literally sounds like I have an entirely new sound system. Though there isn't enough bass to rattle your neighbors windows, you can easily achieve that "rumble" in your chest that resonates throughout the car easily. Before, I'd have to turn up the volume on the stereo to still be able to listen to music on the freeway, now I notice myself TURNING IT DOWN just so I can still listen to the outside world! Even the guys who installed it at a local chain were blown away. The guy had to literally bring in the audio crew and check out how good this TINY sub actually sounded! Even one of the guys asked if I had one of the "tester" subs installed... After listening to a range of indie music: iron & wine, sufjan stevens, fleet foxes, wilco, ugress, found sound orchestra and etc... & pop & hiphop, I couldn't be happier, it hits so 'clean' without distortion, even cranked up. The adjustable knobs to accentuate the sound definitely help out, so make sure you do listen to some of your favorite stuff and adjust until satisfied. Now for those who want to rattle their skulls numb, this probably won't do you any justice, but for those who want to bring the "home theater system" feel to your vehicle, this is ABSOLUTELY THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK, literally!
Works great! December 20, 2008 Sidney A few years ago I replaced the stock speakers(terrible) in my 1998 Jeep Wrangler. They sounded awesome, but definitely needed some more low end. But where on earth would I put a decent sized sub in my tiny jeep wrangler?? The Boss Audio Low Profile sub was exactly what I needed. I've been using it for about 2 years now and it hasn't let me down. If you need a sub to really fill up your overall sound and also give you that extra boost when you need it... this will more than likely be what you need. And having it be so thin is great when you don't have a lot of room. I recommend it.
Sound great for the $$ November 28, 2008 Becky L. Reichman (N.P. Ohio) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We installed this in our 2000 Jeep Wranger. I was hesitant to buy this due to the low price, figured we would get what we paid for. I have to say, I was impressed with the BASS600's ability to provide good low end bass in a Jeep. If you're looking to rattle your neighbor's windows this is not the unit to buy. If you're a Jeep Wrangler owner, you already know how difficult it is to have a good sound system due to the limited space. It's also very easy for someone to break into a Wranger so you do not want to invest major dollars. This unit fits very nicely under the rear seat or it can be mounted on the rear tailgate.
Awesome sound November 5, 2008 BoostMaster I recently purchased a Pioneer Avic F900BT in-dash system for my Subaru. I had good speakers, but the lows were killing them. I decided to get a sub/amp but didn't want to mount anything in the trunk. I ended up buying the Boss Audio BASS600 and it is an awesome addition to my stereo. The stereo shop installed and tuned it. I now control it via the EQ in my stereo. You can adjust the loudness or even turn it off if desired. The unit delivers a lot of bass for the money, I actually had to disable the Bass booster and loudness because it was too much. The unit is installed under my passenger seat. If you're building a nice system for your car, I highly recommand the Boss Audio BASS600. Not only it's a sub, but it's got a built in amp so you're getting 2 in 1 package. It's easy to install and not very big. Won't rattle the trunk/license plate.
