Not working out for me December 30, 2008 Mandi (Mannheim, Germany) I must have read hundreds of reviews before deciding to take a chance on these headphones. I have small ears and small ear canals so finding a set of sports headphones to use while running is really difficult. These definitely are NOT what I was looking for. If I was walking or doing something that caused me to bounce less these would probably be fine but the loop that goes over my ear is too big and running causes it to fall off. I spent most of my run fixing my headphones so they wouldn't fall off. These aren't technically "in ear" but the speaker was too big and bulky and got to be painful after a while. I wore them for 3 miles and that was the end of these headphones. The search for a good pair of running headphones continues...
Perfect for running (sweating) December 29, 2008 A. Berman (Tampa, FL) I use these for running and they are great, they are water resistant (no foam, just plastic) so they hold up to repeated workouts over time without getting damaged by moisture. They fit securely and don't slip off. Also, most importantly, the sound quality is excellent. Just what you would expect for Sony. I have listened with other headphones in the same price range (Apple, Philips, etc) and the sound just doesn't compare at all. I am buying my second pair after having the first pair for 2 & 1/2 years without any degradation in sound quality, I forget how but the cord ripped and the wires are exposed so I'm replacing them. I really do prefer the speaker-facing-forward design of these to the earbud style that I have found in most stores.
Good sound but uncomfortable! December 17, 2008 J. Schuetz (Pacific Northwest, USA) I bought these headphones about a month ago and tried them on at work. The first thing I noticed was that it took a while to get them on my ears properly. Second thing I noticed was that they sounded pretty good once I got them on. Unfortunately, the last thing I noticed was that they are very uncomfortable when I wear them for more than 5 minutes. The gray clip that goes behind the ear seems to cut into the back of my ear making them unbearable for more than 5 minutes.....guess I'll have to go back to the over the head style design of these same earphones.
Defective Product November 30, 2008 Shiu H. Yee When I first saw this, I thought how convenient it would be to have a clip on while I ran on the treadmill. After it came, I was appalled by the sound quality. Not only did I have to crank up the volume on my player, but the left ear was considerably lower. I had to take one of them out of my ear after it started to hurt my head with the imbalanced noise. It was probably a defective product, but I had to buy another, different type of sports earbuds immediately.
good value November 4, 2008 A. Co (ga) I bought this to replace my overpriced shure earphones for my daily commute to work by bicycle. Been using this on the weekdays for 6 months and have no problems. The fit is ok and stays in place while cycling. It is small enough that it does not interfere with the helmet, head cap and sunglass. The sound is ok, not great, but not bad either.
