Great 37" LCD TV - January 6, 2009

My siblings & I purchased the 37XBR6-37 for our parents. It's a great TV. The picture is clear as a bell. After having side-by-side compared the pictures of Sony's, Panasonic's, Samsung's, etc. (all darn good LCDs) at Best Buy & Circuit City, the Sony pictures hands-down are simply better than all of the competition.
Personally, despite the competition being darn good, the Sony pictures are simply clearer and better than the good competition. Also, I have had a number of Sony's since the 70's, and they all have lasted at least 20 years and longer, with great pictures to the end. I suspect that the 37XBR6 will also have long quality life.
For these reasons, I feel that the Sony price premium is worth the difference. This 37XBR6 seems to be worth the price premium with the best picture quality and probable long life.

Although I bought this TV sight unseen, I read all of the comments that were left by customers and what they thought about this TV...Well, I ordered it and I can say that I am ONE VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER! The picture is beautiful and fits right into my entertainment center with just an inch to spare. I couldn't have done any better. Thank you

This is in my opinion, the best tv money can buy right now (2008-2009). Fabulous picture quality.....better than the movie theatre, and just as good as buying tickets to any sporting event. I only wish now that I would have spent $350 more to get the 40' version. Oh well, there's always next year! Peace

The TV set is wonderful; I love it. I had considered a 40" set but decided on this one and it fits perfectly in the space allotted to it; 40" would have been way too big. The delivery people assembled it very quickly (too quickly, I think) and neglected at least one screw. They did not leave a crimping tool that was on the list. And they didn't take the box away as promised. I would rate the experience five stars except for the sloppy delivery.
