 Good TV, a little pricey.... January 9, 2009

I did swap a Samsung A750 for this SONY, ALthough the Samsung is great in terms of image quality and resolution, I didn't like the colors (reds that never get reds, sort of brown/orange). I have other SONY TV's so I know colors are more accurate on SONY's. I was not dissapointed. Other feedback:
- Sleep is not one single button in the control.
- Sound is ok but not great
- Price is high compare with competitors (Samsung for instance)
- Not sure the difference between the V and Z series justify the price difference.

We had a humming from the t.v. and have contacted Sony and also the picture on some stations is outside the paramenters on the normal picture and working with the dish satellite service to see if we can gat corrected with a different receiver.

I ordered this item as a family Christmas present. The delivery and handling was superb and the item has preformed flawlessly. After ordering on-line with Amazon, the TV was actually delivered in less than one week.
The delivery man unpacked it, tested it for function, and removed the packing materials. My sons and I installed the Sony in the cabinet and hooked it up so that we enjoyed the crisp, beautiful pictures all during the holiday season.
Thumbs up for a great product, Amazon price, and great free delivery!

I am sure the TV i.e. ITEM I rated 1 star was a good TV, but unfortunately I ordered by mistake a 40 inch set thinking I was ordering a 46 inch set, my mistake. As soon as I discovered my mistake I call Amazon.com to correct but they said "to late" already in process. My discovery was close to 24hours after my first order. So, I re-ordered the 46 inch set and now had two in the shipping process. When the 40 inch came I returned it and was charged a shipping "back" charge. The correct model came in and all is fine.I thought that Amazon should have been more "Customer User Friendly" and be able to correct my mistake once notified since the order had not started being processed. Moral of the experience "Be sure to review your order a "couple" of times before placed. Other then that everything worked well and would have been rated at least 4 out of 5 stars.

Order of a Sony 40" Bravia HDTV, Z series, was delivered in a timely manner. Product was delivered to home residense and unpacked to insure nothing was damaged enroute from shipper. Packing materials were removed by deliverer. Another successful order filled by Amazon.com.
