Product Description
Syntax Corporation offers a premium LT27HVX LCD TV. Syntax's new iDEA technology will certainly deliver HD content like no other. iDEA features the dynamic brightness and contrast control in which the iDEA engine maintains brightness and contrast levels to deliver the best quality picture at all times. With Pure Edge Enhancement, pictures are more defined showing details lost because of signal and frame conversions. Last but not least is its advanced CTI system that refines color transitions to deliver smooth images during intense motion scenes. In addition, the LT27HVX features audio enhancements such as lip sync and preset equalizers for rock, speech, movie, normal sound effects and reverb effects to simulate sound environments in different rooms. The LT27HVx is an HD-ready set complemented by numerous inputs like NTSC tuner input, AV, S-Video, Progressive Scan Component inputs, VGA and DVI with HDCP compatibility. It features PIP and split screen functionality. The functionality of TV and PC applications is sure to create another winner in the LCD TV display arena.

1 out of 5 stars desperately disappointed   November 8, 2008
momlovesus (Long Island, New York)
I haven't a clue about this Olevia product. I waited and waited and waited and waited for the whole, total, entire month of October and it never came. Do not, absolutely not ever, buy from this vendor! I have a previously purchased [not from this vendor] Olevia which proved to be so satisfactory that I wanted another. I really did want this Olevia and haven't the words to truly express my complete, thorough and utter disappointment. I contacted Amazon for help and am still waiting.

1 out of 5 stars Old and used it shows.   April 6, 2008

I purchased this in the belief that it would work and look as good as new. Well yes it does seem to work well. But the drawback is looks and it has tha appearance of being old and tired. I believe enough said as the company who sold it tried to get extra money for a better conditioned one.

2 out of 5 stars I wanted to like this TV   February 5, 2008

it was a great price at the time and it works perfectly in the master bedroom...where it gets about 45 mintues of use a day in the morning...and occassionally when I am in bed sick or playing insomnia boy. I have not had too many issues, but there are two major problems...the hum from the speakers is unreal, especially when the volume is turned down. The second issue is that the remote stopped working. It just stopped. I have changed the batteries twice and still nothing. The bad part is, I cannot find ANY universal remotes that will work with it. If anyone knows one that will...post it please! For the price of LCD TV's today, look to one of the major brands...it is not worth the hassle unless you need a cheap TV.

1 out of 5 stars it broke and they don't honor their warranty   November 29, 2007

I bought this tv around the first of October and used it for two weeks, then suddenly the screen was filled with colored lines and I couldn't get a picture. I contacted Olevia, or Syntax Brillian and they said they would replace it right away, But it took two weeks just to get the return lable and that was by email. After I shipped it back they promised to send the new replacement no later than November 12th, but no TV. I have called 2 dozen times since but they usually just hang up after making you listen to the same Kenny G song for a half hour or more. I finally got through to someone this past Monday Nov. 26th and they promised to have it shipped no later than Wednesday the 28th along with a email confirming shipment, two days later and hours more of Kenny G and I'm still waiting. If you have $500 to throw away, dump it in the stock market, that way at least you'll have a nice certifcate, if you buy Olevia you end up with nothing. Gerald S. Wight

1 out of 5 stars 18 months   August 21, 2007

Worked fine as our desktop monitor then at 18 months colors went haywire. Olevia customer support suspects it's a bad main board which costs almost as much as a new monitor. Will pay a little more for reliability next time. Cannot recommend.
