do not buy November 28, 2008 crystos (Cayon, Cayon Saint Kitts and Nevis) Tv was bought 2006, was good till this year...when the power on failed. I have to press power about 30 times before this thing turns on. I don't live in the U.S so Olevia won't even entertain my call. What a rip off.If anybody knows what is wrong with my TV lemme know.
Great TV. October 14, 2008 Stephen A. Macarthur Closing in on 2 years having the TV and its been good. Id have to say the only problem is that its started to not turn on until after a few try's. Other then that its great for the price.
Great HD set but...... Sound needs some work August 15, 2008 Mary and Mart (Richmond, Va) I got my new Olevia flat panel last month and over all it is a good bang for the buck. The HD picture is excellent even on Comcast HD which is compressed. The sound is poor, however just like the others who wrote a review this is easy to fix just add external amplified speakers problem solved. One thing these sets are shipped in showroom mode. For those of you who just want to set up this set without reading the instructions here is a bit of advice. READ THE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS OR YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE FULL MENU. I would rate this set a solid 6 to 7 on a scale of 10. It is a good set for the bedroom or the dormroom.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY A DIFFERENT BRAND June 21, 2008 JazzyG (Texas) After less than a year my TV lost sound and picture. It should have still been under warranty, but Syntax (the manufacturer) was of absolutely no help. Don't let the price of this TV entice you like it did me. Pay a little more and get a TV that will last longer.

Don't buy a Syntax Olevia! I bought one and it died almost to the day the warranty went out. Customer service said I would have to pay to ship it back and pay the parts and labor to fix it and that would cost over half of the TV's cost. They wouldn't offer to help with anything and they said they lost my registration card, the same one they used to call me with to ask me how I liked it a week after I bought the TV. So all I can do is to post this to every blog I can to try to inform others.
