Amazon.com Product Description Update your kitchen, bedroom, or home office with the 17-inch Coby TF-DVD1770 multi-tasking LCD TV, which includes an integrated side-loading DVD player and the ability to use it as a PC monitor. It has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner (as well as a PAL tuner for broadcasts outside North America), and you can view high-definition programming when connected to an optional receiver or cable/satellite set-top box via the component video inputs. It comes with a sleekly styled base that can be removed for wall mounting with optional hard ware. p In addition to DVD movie and CD audio discs, the DVD player is compatible with DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, and CD-R/RW discs, and it can display photo slideshows from JPEG image files burned to disc. This set features a 1280 x 1024-pixel resolution, 4:3 standard aspect ratio, 450 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating, and 400:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.) It has two stereo speakers integrated into the sides of the cabinet that produce 3 watts of power per channel (for 6 watts of total power). It includes the following connection inputs: ul liComposite audio/video In: 1 liS-Video In: 1 liComponent video In: 1 liRF In: 1 liPC VGA In: 1 (with PC audio mini-jack) /ul p bTech Talk/bbr iComponent video/i (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound. p bWhat's in the Box/bbr LCD TV, stand, remote control (with batteries), A/V cable, AC adapter and 110/220 UL adapter, printed operating instructions

| Customer Reviews:
Not that great/reccommend choosing another brand August 17, 2008 Timothy Taylor (Port Orford, OR USA) I sent this TV back and got the Polaroid. About the same price and much better quality. The Coby picture quality was just fair, sound quality is poor and the on-scren display is sooooo small you cannot read it from any distance; not even a few feet away. Don't reccommend this TV.
TV works OK May 8, 2007 Eileen Trombley Glick (Phoenix AZ) PROS: Good picture, multi-functional. DVD players works well and has the capability to scan forward in small segments. CONS: Built-in speakers are tinny; there are no output jacks of any kind for external speakers or personal headphones.
