Additional color features such as Color 4D Noise Reduction and PerfectColor allow for advanced color processing and adjustment. The result is breathtaking realism with vivid, yet natural Color Without Compromise.Larger screen, not larger spaces. The 52-inch 133 Series 1080p LCD Flat Panel HDTVs feature Mitsubishi's Plush1080p processing for unsurpassed detail in over two million pixels from every source. This 52-inch HDTV would be ideal as part of a home theater system in a medium-to-large-sized room.p table align=left width=300 cellpadding=10 tr td img src="http://images.amazon.com/images/G/01/electronics/detail-page/B000RYUWXO-1.jpg" border=0 align=topbrbrspan class="caption"With Deep Color technology, shaded images show less banding and greater contrast. View larger./span /td /tr /table bLots Of Pixels In a Thin Box/bbr This 52-inch HDTV is just six inches thick but packs in a lot of technology for outstanding performance. Quality speakers are hidden away to maintain a beautiful, minimalist look that takes up less space in your room. The display is 1080p, which means it has the full 1920 x 1080 high definition resolution with progressive scan that is the highest quality HDTV standard today. With large televisions this is important, as having a dense array of over two million pixels prevents the eye from seeing pixelation, especially at close distances.p The television is able to display any video signal that is connected to it. When a 1080p signal is the input, it is passed through with no down conversion, and the 1080p signal is maintained from beginning to end, giving the best picture quality. When a lower resolution is detected, whether it is 720p HD or a DVD, the signal is automatically scaled to display at 1080p, with minimal side effects and a very detailed picture.p bVibrant Colors You've Never Seen Before/bbr The LT-52133 incorporates a slew of new technologies that give this television the most realistic color reproduction available on the market today. The new x.v.Color standard is supported, which dramatically increases the color space available, with 80% more color than standard HDTV. The television also supports Deep Color, a new standard that incorporates 10-bit color depth versus the previous 8-bit color depth. With Deep Color, shaded images show less banding and greater contrast. p Mitsubishi's Full Spectrum Color is an exclusive system that uses a wide range of phosphors in the LCD's backlight for brighter and more vivid reds and yellows, and more shades of green, cyan, and blue. Along with Mitsubishi's Color 4D Noise Reduction and PerfectColor, you get a wider color palette and the ability to fine tune the set to your exact preferences. The end result is a picture that is brighter, smoother, and more realistic than ever, with colors that have never been seen on a television set before.p bConnections Galore/bbr You don't need to worry about running out of connections with the LT-52133. It has a total of three HDMI 1.3 inputs with Simplay HD certification, so you can connect your Blu-Ray player and HD DVD player, and still have an input left over. It also has three component video inputs (two rear, one side), a side USB connection so you can display up to five megapixel photographs on the television, and two rear A/V inputs with S-Video, as well as a Dolby Digital/PCM output and an analog stereo output. p The LT-52133 is backed by a limited 1-year warranty.p bWhat's in the Box/bbr LT-52133 52-inch LCD HDTV, remote control, two AA batteries, owner's guide, quick reference guide, quick connect guide, product registration card, cable tie, and cable clamp. br clear="all"

4 out of 5 stars Best Bang for the Buck!!!   July 8, 2008

This is a great tv for the price. This review is based on out-of-the-box setup. br /PROS: HD channels and Xbox360 looks awesome. Supports 1080p,1080i, 720p, 480p, 480i at 60hz. 52' size! br /I believe this tv has a refresh rate of 8ms, can't confirm, but played Forza2 on xbox and did not notice any problem at all. Picture was sharp, colorful, and smooth. Has 3 hdmi connections and numerous components, composites, and s-video connections. br / br /CONS: Non-HD channels were terrible looking though, have my DVR connected via hdmi. But this is to be expected. The sticker placement(for Power and Standby indicators)on my set was placed rather "crooked", but I think it may vary with each set. I have one dead pixel, which I didn't even realize until up close. The HDMI connectors are NOT intended for use through a receiver, it has to be a direct source. Also, component connections up to 1080i only. br / br /Overall: I'm happy with this set despite the few setbacks. Save yourself some money before buying those 120hz sets, there aren't any significant improvement to pay an extra $500 for vs the older 60hz sets.

2 out of 5 stars Large and slow are a bad combination.   May 2, 2008

I bought this TV and returned it a week later, because it blurred so badly with motion that sports were unwatchable. I ended up buying a smaller Sony XBR4, and I have none of the issues (plus the picture is far, far better). br / br /This has nothing to do with 60 vs 120Hz. That is more important for DVDs and Blu-Ray signals that are 24fps (which doesn't divide evenly into 60 but does for 120). The LT52133 has an 8ms response time, which is extremely slow. A decent LCD should be 5 or lower. br / br /If you want an LCD, choose speed and quality over size. If you want size and quality but want to spend less, buy a plasma. Don't buy a big, cheap, slow LCD! br / br /I gave it 2 stars because I like the interface and remote.

4 out of 5 stars Picture looks very nice, audio isn't so hot   April 27, 2008

Picture is very good on HD, just ok on SD (but this is pretty common for HDTV sets). My biggest gripe is the audio is kind of 'tinny'. You can avoid this by using your stereo system, but sometimes you just want to turn on the news and watch. Overall, good set for a very good price.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent TV at an excellent price   March 26, 2008

When I did my research on what new 1080P Flat panel to pick up, I realized it was a no-brainer to pick up this Mitsubishi LT-52133. It not only is the best priced 52" LCD on the market, but it has absolutely exceptional picture quality, brilliant colors, deep blacks and whites, all while supporting the new color standard, x.v. color. It has an ultra thin bezel giving it a very sleek look. br / br /Like most LCD panels that are subject to "juddering", the 133 is no exception. This is because, of course, when you're basically playing a movie that plays back in 24FPS on a TV that only displays in 30FPS, you will constantly notice a "juddering" when the image on the screen is ANYTHING but still. Of course it isn't a problem when the camera is focused on one scene. But, as soon as the camera begins to pan out or move, you notice juddering (subtle choppiness in the frames). And believe me, this isn't just exclusive to fast action scenes, where the 120HZ technology claims to fix, it happens ANYTIME a camera pans across a scene. Again, to fix the juddering, manufacturers have come up with the 120HZ technology that fixes any juddering by taking an "average" frame between 2 frames and intelligently calculates scenes to eliminate judder. Believe me, it makes ALL the difference. br / br /So, even though the 133 is significantly cheaper than its 144 counterpart (the only difference being that the 144 has the 120HZ technology), I would advise going with the LT-52144. Both have come down in price, but with such a big ticket purchase, the 144 is the way to go. But, if you have a certain budget, the 133 is a great TV that matches or beats out any top end SONY or SHARP LCD.

3 out of 5 stars Made the Wrong Choice?   March 19, 2008

I did a lot of research on flat screens before I bought this and although it wasn't the top-rated LCD, the price was right and the overall dimensions and styling were perfect for our wall. No problems with delivery from Electronics Expo and the installation was easy using the Peerless wall mount I purchased from Amazon. I also purchased an Onkyo receiver with HDMI output so that I could route everything through it to the flat screen. That's where my problems started. The LT-52133 will not accept video HDMI inputs from an AV Receiver, so now I have to run another HDMI cable from the Onkyo to the LT-52133. This is a major hassle since this installation is over a hard-to-access fireplace. br / br /The next problem - the flat screen is now "dead". I'm getting a flashing blue led which the service center tells me is probably indicating a bad power supply. So, for the 1 month I have owned this it has worked for 1 week. br / br /I'm hoping my luck will improve with this set. For the 1 week it worked the picture quality met my expectations. Time will tell if I made the wrong choice.
