Great TV September 6, 2008 Ronald E. Brignole (memphis, tn United States) I've had this TV for about 8 mo now and I love it. I like the handle built into the top of the unit so you can just grab it and carry it around with one hand. All you need is a good powered rabbit ears to get digital HD pictures when you are on the go. I am very happy with the picture on this TV. I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a small portable TV.

Don't buy a Syntax Olevia! I bought one and it died almost to the day the warranty went out. Customer service said I would have to pay to ship it back and pay the parts and labor to fix it and that would cost over half of the TV's cost. They wouldn't offer to help with anything and they said they lost my registration card, the same one they used to call me with to ask me how I liked it a week after I bought the TV. So all I can do is to post this to every blog I can to try to inform others. br / br /
Not so bad December 24, 2007 Bonnelope (Newnan, GA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this TV for our small kitchen. I was worried because I hadn't read any great reviews about it. For it's purpose, the tv is great. The only thing is that the speakers aren't all that great. It sounds like a computer would without speakers attached...well, maybe it's not that bad. It's just not so great either. I would agree that you would need to hook up better speakers. For the price, I love it.
OK picture, bad sound December 18, 2007 Mark M. Block (Maplewood, NJ United States) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've been looking for a cheap HDTV for the kitchen. Olevia is a good brand and this TV fit my space. Now that I've seen it I'm not wild about it, and I'm not sure I want to keep it. br / br /Note: It is NOT 16:9. The box clearly says 16:10. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew it was 16:10. br / br /The speakers are awful. Words can't describe how bad the sound is. External speakers are a must. Bummer. br / br /As with most LCDs, the black level and contrast are bad, but I wasn't expecting much. br / br /The good thing I wasn't expecting: "Big Picture Technology" works magic on 4:3 standard def video. 4:3 images fill the 16:10 frame without obvious distortion. How do they do that?
