The MDR-W08L headphones fit inside the ear for jostle-free listening. Created for active listeners, these headphones are better held in place with the wide, over-the-head headband. They are extremely lightweight (.5 ounces) and will provide hours of comfortable listening. p Sony uses 13.5 mm driver units in these headphones. While lightweight and small enough to fit inside the ear, they also deliver a good bass sound and wide frequency range (down to 20 Hz.) Neodymium magnets give the headphones maximum energy at a minimal size and weight. The open-air design allows for ambient noise to enter the ear, a safe feature for exercisers as you will hear car horns, passing bikers and dog barks. Seems like a very serviceable product for the price. I use them for workouts at the gym and the sound, while not spectacular, is fine for the use to which I put them. Good value.

I love these headphones! They are light and good quality and a great price. No bells and whistles, but they fit well, and unlike the Dynex pair I was using before they have a good shape - they stay in place while I'm running. I have small ears and I can't wear just any in-ear headphones. The buds on these are small enough that they are comfortable for hours. I have had several pairs before. Be prepared - they eventually will break, or the wires get loose and you lose sound in one ear, but at this price, who cares? Mine typically last about a year, and I buy several pairs at a time so I know I have a back up pair around.

I've had 4 pairs of these headphones. I love the fit, sound and weight. When they fail, it's in the cord, usually near the plug. Nevertheless their lifespan is long, and I think their value is twice the price.

These phones are a great choice for runners. They stay firmly on the head, and are open-air so you can hear traffic noises for safety. They are cheap enough so I keep pairs in the Gym locker, car, and at home. Sound quality is good, but bass level is average.
