Customer Reviews:
IBM thinkpad docking station February 13, 2008 Peter Rosen 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use a portable computer since I live in three different locations throughout the year. The docking station easily turns the portable into a desktop with a decent monitor mouse and keyboard, and plenty of USB ports; it is amazingly easy to use. It does require an IBM Thinkpad, but since that is what I use, it's very handy. I have a docking station at each of my locations, along with a monitor etc. so I just lock on and start working. I don't know why all portables don't have something similar.
very solid product November 2, 2006 Stephen S. Smith (Palo Alto, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is just what I needed. I work from two offices and go back and forth regularly. The docking stations in each office make it very fast and simple to connect in on arrival and to detach and go upon departure. It completely eliminates the need to plug and unplug all of the connectors. The product also becomes the power supply for the laptop. The only drawback is that it is fairly large and takes up almost a square foot of desktop and about half of this is still incremental space taken when the laptop is attached.
