Trouble Picking Up Signal November 2, 2008 Martha (Barboursville, Virginia United States) I have two of these clocks. I love the accuracy of atomic clocks so wanted them to keep me on time in bathroom in morning. However, this clock does not seem to be picking up atomic signal because over time it loses minutes. Perhaps a one-battery atomic clock is not good enough for connecting with the signal (from Colorado isn't it?) when one lives in Virginia, as I do. We have two other atomic clocks in the house, both of which require more batteries and have no trouble picking up the daily atomic signal. So, I am looking for small atomic clocks with more than one battery. Agree with problems with instructions - have to dig them out whenever I need to set anything on clock. Not self-explanatory like more clocks.
Perfect travel accesory September 13, 2008 Molly Nash Larson (Bartlesville, OK USA) I purchased a second Sharp Atomic clock to replace one out of warranty. The cost to have it repaired and shipping for getting it there was more than the cost of a new one. I love the clock. It keeps perfect time and the button on top for illuminating the time is very handy and does not bother any other sleeper. The alarm, when I have used it, is of sufficient loudness for me to hear without my hearing aids, but not so strident to startle or awaken others.
GOOD FOR GADGETEERS AS TRAVEL ALARM June 17, 2008 Nobleman (Gulfport, MS) I got this nice but deceptively complex little clock as a travel alarm. I read all the reviews twice: Once before buying it and using it several months, and again before writing this review. br /PROS br /*Very nice small size and light weight for a travel alarm br /*Super accurate and full featured for an inexpensive timepiece br /*Becomes easy to operate after a small bit of effort br /CONS br /*Not for the technically challenged - if you do not like lots of buttons and gadgets, get something simpler. The designers put a lot of functions into a few buttons, and it took even lifelong gadgeteer me 20 min to learn. br /*Not tiny, but it is light br /*Not for the self-admitted lazy who bash it off the stand - but then again, what is (maidservants and personal butlers excluded)?
Great Clock March 26, 2008 Sue (MN United States) I got this for use in my bathroom to keep me on time in the morning. It is perfect for that. Small size, attractive. Displays date and day of week. I found the time pretty easy to set. Great value for the price!
Nice little clock March 10, 2008 Becky (Michigan) I bought this clock to sit on my bathroom counter to keep me on time in the morning. I have taken it on camping trips and do agree that the little amount of backlight it puts out is disappointing. I live in Michigan and have had no trouble getting the clock to set to the right time. I use it to set the rest of the clocks in my house by. I did recently drop it and the battery came out causing it to have to reset and I could not find the directions anywhere, of course. I had to get online to figure out how to get it back to my time zone. If you do purchase this clock be sure to keep the directions. For use as a bathroom clock it works just fine.
