Authentic HP Cartridge but Pricey February 26, 2010

Received the 53X quickly after placing the order. Still think $140 is high, even though this is lower than retail for this item. Amazon did offer free shipping, though. I know this cartridge prints thousands and thousands of pages: even more than it quotes. At the end of its life, you just shake it to even out the toner and you can get it to keep printing.

The laser toner quality is very high, but it's always the "razor and blades" game with HP. They get a premium price for their printers and then really gouge you on the ink/toner. The Amazon price was about the lowest out there for this cartridge. But think twice before buying HP printer products. You pay dearly for the ink/toner. I'll never buy another HP printer.

love the fact that the 53X can print over 7000 pages. I never have to worry that I'll run out of ink.....Prints are clear and true. Very reliable product.
Authentic Cartridge April 9, 2009

This is my second cartridge for my new HP 2015 printer (also bought from Amazon). First cartridge was definitely authentic HP; lasted a long time, performed great.
Only reason for 4 stars is price; Amazon is as low or lower than Staples, etc., but $140 is still a lot for a cartridge. (It is 2009 - the price of every other technology has gone down; it's about time toner cartridges caught up with the price breaks!)
I get Free 2-Day Shipping on this as I have Amazon Prime. Every year, it is easily the best $79 investment I make.
Excellent but pricey February 25, 2009

This is an excellent product, and I won't buy the generic refills anymore. The only reason I give it 4 stars is 1)it is very pricey, and 2) I wish Amazon would give free super saver shipping. They give free shipping with the cheaper, lower capacity A cartridge, but not with this X model.
