Great Laser Printer September 28, 2008 D. Levy (Cleveland Ohio) It's just a great laser printer - I've had it a while, and no paper jams, feed issues. One minuscule issue I have is manually feeding envelopes and getting it in the right position, sometimes it seems like it's backwards to the word processor print setup. Other than that, it does it's job flawlessly.
Great Laser Printer for Small Business September 13, 2008 Richard L. Moreland (Wichita, KS USA) This unit has replaced a Lexmark T610. We print about 1,000 pages a week on 2 different types of paper stock. For the price it is a great little work-horse. I have 3 more big Lexmarks to replace and will buy this model from Amazon again. As for Toner cartridges, we will use remanufactured (not just refilled) and this cuts problems to almost nothing. Cable is not included, but the old parallel one I had worked perfectly. I would think that switching to USB cable would even be faster printing, but adequate speed with current set-up is OK. br /rich
Good quality, stable printer, but expensive ink February 12, 2008 D. J. Seifert (WA state) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I also have the E250dn (network attach model) and use it to print about 150 pages per month. I have had only two paper jams in that time (both my fault for not carefully stacking the paper) and they were easy to clear. Print quality is quite good. My chief complaint is that the cartridges are priced sky-high ($100+) and non-Lexmark branded "compatible" cartridges may not work due to the electronic chip-matching circuits required in the cartridge. The manufacture has placed this function (which adds cost) to prevent, or inhibit, use of non-Lexmark brand (i.e., expensive) print cartridges. I guess the cost of ink appears to be the only way the printer vendors make any profit.
A Bargain at Any Price January 20, 2008 Shiloh Force (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma United States) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is by far the best printer I've ever owned. I'm a middle-school teacher, and I use this printer in my classroom to run off handouts, instructions, and/or worksheets for over 120 students pretty much every day, and I've never had any problems with it. It's lightning-fast and looks really nice on my desk, too. My favorite feature, though, is the automatic duplexing for two-sided printing, which helps me save a lot of paper. I'm probably going to buy another one of these for home; after experiencing the joys of laser, I don't think I ever want to mess with inkjet printers again.
a good soho laser printer November 2, 2007 sophocles (new jersey) i bought this to replace a lexmark e232 which quit after two years.. and then i learned that the e232 paper feed roller was substandard. while this printer is fine right now, who knows what will happen in 2 year? i found out later that folks on ebay sell repair kits for these printers.. so no doubt that will be an option two years from now. br /
