Its a great value for the price. It works just fine for charging and syncing....however the cable and connector head feels a little flimsy compared to the microsoft one. However this is not an issue at all unless you slam a car door on it like i did :(

The cable charges the Zune just fine, but it cannot sync with the Zune software. br / br /Looking at the pin configuration on the Zune side, most of the pins are missing in this cable (it has 8 pins total, whereas the official Zune cable has all 24). Looking around the Internet, I see that many pins are not needed and some only for specific reasons. However, pins 20 and 21 are listed as USB data + and -. These 2 pins are missing from this product. br / br /If that is true and the missing pins are not just an anomaly with the cable I received, then this is false advertising. I will need to contact the company for further information. Be wary of this product.
Great Replacement cable November 6, 2008

This is a great replacement cable. I ordered 5 of them, so I can have one everywhere I need one. In the laptop bag, by each computer, and still a couple of spares. br / br /I only with they had been able to charge me one shipping fee. The all came in one envelope, but I paid the same shipping on each one. Oh well, it was still a good deal.

It's the exact same as the OEM Zune cord except the rip off price tag that Microsoft Charges. I wish everyone knew about this and didn't get ripped off paying the high Microsoft price
