Considering I am not a computer geek. This product was very easy to install it seems to work fine. I could have paid a hundred bucks more for a fancier unit but I am not at the computer much. Color quality seem fine. I would recommend 100%.

After searching the internet and reading reviews on various websites, I decided to get this monitor. br / br /I bought it to use in "extended desktop" mode with my 13" Macbook. I also bought the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter. The monitor comes with both a VGA and a DVI cable, which saves the expense of having to buy one in addition to buying a monitor. br / br /The bottom line: I plugged everything in and it works! The Macbook recognized the display immediately and automatically set the resolution. br / br /Color is bright and clear. Text is sharp. Graphics look great. NO DEAD OR STUCK PIXELS! br / br /Physical setup was a breeze also. I read on some reviews that the stand was hard to get on, and wouldn't come off once it was put on. I do have an engineering degree, but it was very easy to put the stand on; and it will come off easily. It is held in place with two "dog-ear" style tabs accessible from the bottom. Just bend the tabs in, and off comes the stand! br / br /I also tested the monitor with an Acer laptop running Windows Vista basic and the VGA cable; and it worked great with that, too. br / br /This is a great monitor.

This monitor works GREAT! Widescreen 16x10 display, max resolution at 1680x1050. The anti-reflective coating works awesome and does its job well. The monitor comes with a DVI cable, a VGA cable, and a DVI-to-VGA adapter, and the monitor has ports for both DVI and VGA. The power cable is detachable, making it easier for transport. And it's at a great price. I've owned this monitor for almost a year now with no issues. It's taken a bit of a beating, and there are no dead pixels on it yet. br / br /The only complaint that I have is that the snap-in platform does not snap off easily. I like to keep my monitor boxes for easy transport in case I need to move my computer around, but the monitor stand is too big to allow for the monitor to be placed back into the box. I resorted to wrapping the monitor in some towels and carrying it by hand. A minor complaint overall.

Acer monitor I ordered arrived Dead on Arrival, with a bright-white dead pixel so visible right in the center of the monitor. How could a quality inspector have missed such an obvious defect? I'm returning it. This monitor also looks and feels cheap, compared to much more sophisticated design of Samsung monitors, which are only slightly more expensive. I'm going to stay away from Acer from now on.
