Good October 30, 2008 B. Lee Upscaling is great, but I had one problem, I would have to constantly plug unplug the USB port from my external hard drive to have the player recognize the hard drive. Also take a bit longer than my other Samsung DVD player to load.
Lacks performance for power users and double sided DVD playing September 24, 2008 R. Parker (San Diego) I've had the player for just over 3 months. And, I have probably powered through 1000+ hours of videos. Mostly DVDs playing in the background since I can't seem to get the player to hold the signal to the receiver to play a CD for any extended period of time. br / br /Seems to give up playing after 3-4 hours of straight movie watching. Then, I have to turn it off and wait a couple of hours or the next day. It's in a well ventilated area so I'm not sure why it may be overheating or something. The TV screen just turns to a red screen. At first I thought it was my new TV, but the TV played just fine. br / br /The other thing I noticed is that it doesn't seem to like double-sided DVD. This is where it locks up the most. I have alot of double sided DVD, probably 75% of my movie collection is on double-sided DVDs. br / br /So, I would say it lacks some performance for power users. And the double sided DVD thing is killing me. I've had to use another DVD player on many occasions to finish watching a movie. br / br / br /
No disc Error September 8, 2008 Ale Quiros (Costa Rica) I'm from Costa Rica, when I receive this unit it's works fine for 2 days, but after that, anytime that I play any disc, a NO DISC ERROR shows on the LED Screen. I hope I can change the Unit for a new one. br / br /

Decent product for the price June 17, 2008 adp525mma (Nutley, NJ) Decent quality picture. Menu/option screens linger a bit longer than i prefer. Upscaling is decent but not optimal. You can see some very obvious hazing/fuzziness of distant objects. I would say upscaling quality is closer to a 720p than a 1080i (but i am no expert). Overall, for a model in the $50 - $70 dollar range i think it is a good buy.
