Product Description High-Definition audio and video programming is the hottest commodity in the consumer electronics industry. In order to take advantage of it, most devices utilize the HDMI interface to provide crystal-clear digital sound and picture. With the wealth of devices now using HDMI, it's easy to run out of open HDMI inputs. The Impact Acoustics 5-Port HDMI Selector Switch solves this problem by providing additional high-definition digital inputs for sources such as DVD, Blu-ray and HD-DVD players, gaming systems, and high-definition set top boxes offered by cable and satellite providers. It is fully HDCP compatible with HDTV HDCP-enabled sources. The front panel LEDs display the HDMI source currently selected. The Infrared remote control features discrete commands for easy integration into existing home theater systems, and the Infrared Extender jack enables the selector switch to be operated by your home automation system or other equipped devices such as infrared extenders.

Well worth the money!!! November 2, 2008 J. Higgins (Texarkana, TX United States) I bought this HDMI switcher, because it was this or buy a new reciever to do the same thing. This switcher has now allowed me to extend the useful life of my reciever by years. Well worth the $70 it cost compared to $700 - $1000 for a new reciever with the same amount of HDMI inputs.
Great Product September 30, 2008 SM This product is excellent. I havent been dissappointed by any of their products. I've used their customer service before and they have been very prompt and helpful.
works for me September 30, 2008 AlyRose (everywhere today) I have this switch and it works for me with no problems. I am very pleased with it.
Disappointment April 30, 2008 S. D. Baker (The Coast, NC USA) This product was shipped to me in a timely manner. However, because of my hectic schedule at the time, I never opened it until almost three weeks later. It did not work and due to my laziness I was not able to return this product within the 30 days alotted. I read numerous other reviews that hailed this product as being great and durable and an assorted other positive adjectives. I, unfortunately, happen to be sent a dud. Oh well, such is life.
Works over short distances February 28, 2008 Deanna Vincent (MA - USA) When I first bought this switch, I was pleased with it. I have an older receiver that doesn't handle HDMI, and my TV (Samsung LCD 1080p) only handled two HDMI inputs, but I have a DVD player, a Tivo HD, a PS3, and a computer with HDMI output. The switch worked fine when I had all of the components on a rack next to the HDTV with 3 foot cables connecting the components to the switch and the switch to the TV. br / br /However, I upgraded my TV (to a larger Samsung LCD 1080p TV), and decided to declutter by moving the components to a built-in media cubby fifteen feet away from the TV. This is how the trouble started. br / br /The Tivo HD still works fine with the switch, but the PS3 no longer gets a strong enough signal to the TV (it shows the image, displays static, and then drops the image). The cable length is now 20 feet, but it is a very high quality cable and the PS3 works fine over this cable when connected directly to the TV. br / br /I tried the Tripp Lite cable extender to see if it would boost the signal, and it made no difference at all. I am going to try the OPPO switch, and if that doesn't work, I will run multiple cables to the TV and forget about switches altogether.
