Looks Cheap, Set Not Complete October 26, 2008 R. Tucker I ordered this remote a few weeks ago. It got to me 4 days later than the "guaranteed" arrival date. Upon opening the box, I found what looks to me like a cheap plastic toy from China. Dismissing my first judgment, I followed the instructions to try it out. There are supposed to be two batteries included in this set. There was only one included, and the plastic package holding that battery had been opened. The battery for the transmitter was not included in the set. br / br /While I've not used this product because it didn't come to me in a complete set, and therefore cannot comment on how it works, I'm completely unimpressed with what I've received and will be returning it promptly.
Work great but ... cheap quality October 25, 2008 K. Jindanupajit (Pisgah National Forests, Asheville, NC USA) Tested with D3 / D700 / D300. br /The remote work just OK (as it should do) br /but material look cheap at this price. br /Product design is very bad. br /Why dip switch in the front? Very ugly. br /Look like a DIY project.
Mine came apart with the first use. October 16, 2008 Blahs Blase' (Seattle, WA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This unit looked good but the first time I used it the aerial fell off into my hand and the remote function didn't work. Pressing the button on the receiver fired the camera but I already have the Nikon cord that does that. I contacted HK Supplies about my problem with no solution. br /Wait until Nikon releases their own remote and save your money. The Nikon remote for the D70 cost only $16.95 and works without an aerial, a much better purchase and one for the D300 will be along soon.
Basic Wireless Remote August 31, 2008 Steve G. (Marietta, GA USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought the Opteka wireless remote shutter release to use with my Nikon D300. The product works fine. The range is good and so far it's fired flawlessly. It's a good, simple wireless remote release... just wish I'd paid a little less for it.
Great product August 4, 2008 William F. Weeks (Newton, MA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product is far less expensive than others but works great. Have used it with my D300 with great success.
