Short cord June 6, 2008 Barbara Carter (Los Angeles, CA, United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This cord is NOT long enough to use it to power a GPS unit on the dashboard (at least, not in my car). Which was, of course, what I needed it for: to power my Garmin c340 while driving. (My unit's batteries no longer hold a charge, so I need continuous power.) br / br /Fortunately for me I have a USB extension cord I can press into service. But it's annoying, all these extra cords and junk cluttering up the car. br / br /At least the thing does appear to work. But the cord feels very flimsy, so I don't know how long it'll hold up. br / br /What, you may ask, about the original cord that came with my GPS? I'm on my second, and it's starting to behave badly; at over fifty bucks a pop replacing them is getting to be an expensive habit. This little product was supposed to be the cheaper alternative. br / br /The cord length, by the way, is about 34 inches. They really should TELL us that.
