great TV - bad sound October 3, 2008 T. jeffers (Tennessee) we love the TV - except for the wretched sound. i had read the reviews that mentioned the poor sound, but didn't think it would be that bad. we hung the TV in the kitchen and don't have a stereo to hook it up to there.
22 inch Samsung LCD TV September 30, 2008 Louie from Iowa Very happy with this purchase. Takes a little time to get the TV settings the way I like them. Very nice picture once that's done. Great price from Amazon on this one. Better than anyone else and the shipping was free with Amazon Prime.
22 inch white Samsung TV September 30, 2008 Mary F. Dickman (St. Petersburg, Florida) The television is fantastic. I only have one small problem with my remote. When watching something and switching to another channel the remote does not let me go back to original show I was watching. br / br /Perhaps I could receive a new remote? br / br /Thanks you. br / br /Mary Dickman br /5849 Park Street N. #212 br /St. Petersburg, FL 33709

I'll preface by saying I'm not a serious A/V person, I'm not up to speed on the latest and greatest technology - just a layman. My old CRT TV died, and I needed a new one. Wanted LCD for the lower power consumption and since nearly all of them are HD ready I wanted that too. From what I read, Samsung has the best LCD panels out there. The image on this one is extremely good, though in my opinion I wouldn't say excellent. At times it seems to blur momentarily. Colors are well represented. The features of the TV are nice, not much more than you'd find with older CRT though. This unit is very light weight and easily mounted to a wall. It doesn't get hot when on, which is nice. The remote is weird in its layout of the buttons. I guess it's a subjective thing, but the channel and volume up/down buttons are at the bottom of the remote, not the top and that's really annoying to me. Good thing I was able to get a universal to use with my cable box and DVD player. While I would otherwise give it a five star rating I will have to agree with many others about my one real gripe. The sound. The speakers are buried UNDER the TV, and point down. I have mine in a small bedroom, I don't have delusions of using this TV for a home theater but for four hundred bucks they could have put some better speakers on this thing. While the speakers are loud enough, they just don't sound all that great most of the time.
