Not so great December 3, 2008 Carl Zeigler I had the exact same issue as photo AM Vlad below br /The biggest issue of the new DSC-W300 camera is its poor lens which is a root cause of all its quality problems. The thing is - you can not take a full-size 13.6 MP pictures. At most wide lens angle (1X) the actual picture's resolution is not equal from side to side: it is high in the center with a big degradation to the edges in both directions. br / br /when shooting in 16:9, the edges were completely distorted. My WSC-50 takes better pictures. Returned.

Perfect Choice! November 29, 2008 Annetta M. Verechia 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I did a lot of research before purchasing this point and shoot camera and definitely made the right choice. I love the burst mode. It's like using a DSLR camera. The pictures are beautiful. Much better than my older camera as far as blur and clarity. This camera also takes faster pictures than my older camera, both for the first picture and subsequent pictures. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I love this camera!
Great Pocket Camera November 29, 2008 C. Richard Dwozan (Cornelia, GA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Captures great images, easy to operate and offers the convenience of pocket camera. Over comes many of the limitations I experienced with an older model compact camera.
Just an AMAZING camera!!!!!!! November 18, 2008 BOGY. (CT) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have the DSC-N1 and I just got this camera (DSCW300). The N1 is wonderful with the touch screen and all but I wanted something that takes better pictures. The N1 is only 8MP while the W300 is 13MP. Additionally, the W300 has so many features you will wonder if you will ever buy another camera. The only GRIPE I have, and I can't believe no one else mentions this, is the on/off/power button on top of the camera is so small and burried in the camera - anyone with large fingers may struggle with turing the camera on. Outside of that, everything positive that every user lists here in the comments about this camera are true. WHat a nice looking camera it is too - WOW!
