lasted 2 years April 22, 2010 Rene Gordon great while it lasted. after 18 monthes i started seeing showdows of the closed captering. at 20 monthes it stoped working. dont buy.
Good while it lasted February 4, 2010 R. Dumont (Manchester, NH) Based on my experience and satisfaction with my 42" LG, I decided to stick with the brand, and purchased the 26" (26LG30) purchased 1/09. Shortly after buying the 26", the screen died on my 42" and needed to be replaced (thankfully I bought support). Recently the 26" screen died, and after 2 attempts by support to fix it - they opted to replace it with a comparable TV.
Other things noted on the 26" model - poor sound quality, almost sounded like a blown speaker with lower tones. Angle of viewing was also not great - you needed to be almost directly in front of the screen for a clear picture.
Since they decided replace it with something "comparable" - I opted to go with a 26" Samsung LN26B460 instead of another LG. Picture is clear from all angles, no issues with sound, and overall picture quality (blacks, colors, etc) is far superior to the LG.
Great T.V. July 13, 2009 Mary Bishop (Casselberry,, Florida USA) This is our second LG t.v. and just couldn't be any happier. Hard to beat LG for the quality and price. We used to be big Sony fans but in the future I think LG will be the brand we select.

As a recent retiree travel trailering across the US, I bought this tv in Chattanooga at HH Gregg on Black Friday, as an in-store, unadvertised, NIB special for $399! It has an amazingly clear picture, and the colors are brilliant. The blacks are BLACK. I have only used it thus far to receive both analog and digital, including HD, over-the-air signals with rabbit ears and find it to be very satisfactory. The sound leaves a bit to be desired, but with such small in-set speakers that is to be expected. When I connect my small Altec Lansing computer speakers with separate subwoofer, the sound is awesome. All in all, a great product, especially at the price.............
Even better than expected! February 5, 2009 M. Castle (Reston, VA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Very happy with my decision on the LG 26LG30 - excellent picture and great tuner! I have Comcast as my service provider and I don't use a converter box and this TV's tuner is able to display the HD broadcasts of the local TV stations right from the cable coming out of the wall! I used a Peerless Universal mount (not recommended for this particular model, but that's a whole other story) and ran the wires up through the wall for a nice clean install in a master bedroom. Totally recommend this TV - great value for the price. I looked at everything in the 26" category and by dropping down to a lesser priced product from another manufacturer, the difference in the picture quality was very clear - this one is WORTH paying a little more for without going for a higher end model. Best way to buy a TV is go look at them in the big box stores and then go buy on line - I ended up paying a lot less.
