Perfect December 3, 2008 Boyd Zapatka (Worcester, MA) This TV is very easy to set up and the difference in HD and regular channels is definitely noticeable. The sound is great - others complain about the sound not going high enough but we have had no problems with the sound and the TV is in our living room. The DVD is definitely a HUGE bonus and I would not buy a flat screen unless it has this option - it eliminates the need to purchase a DVD separately and have another electronic piece to place somewhere. br / br /One setback: there is no 'recall' button on the remote, but compared to the overall positives about this TV, this issue is minor and almost unimportant and I would recommend this TV for bedroom use or living room use in a small apartment.
a Big Hit November 21, 2008 6 in MI (Oakland County MI) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
This beauty is hanging in our master bedroom. The display (in glorious HD) is a huge step up over the tv/vcr combo we had previously and the dvd player is easy to operate. The only negative is that our cable remote has no codes for these kinds of combo players. Not Sharp's fault.
What a bummer November 14, 2008 L. Olson (Iowa ,United States) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
My complaint is with the basic functions of this TV. Why put the manual buttons on the top of the TV? Why no channel return on the remote? When you power on the TV. You stare at a black screen for 10 full seconds then a message comes on that says "please wait" along with spinning arrow as if it is thinking about whether there is a dvd in the player or not. I haven't even tried that. Sharp missed the mark on this one. It's going back-- .
nice size for cabinet October 31, 2008 rtta51 (boston area) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
perfect size for cabinet with doors. purchased Omnimount to allow full extension from cabinet to allow for full 180 degree swivel. great picture and sound. DVD player is a plus.
So far, so good. September 8, 2008 Raymond J. Biasotti (Northern California USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
After a few weeks of limited use (bedroom TV); br / br /Picture is great. Sound is ok for smaller, quiet room. Remote is not the best: no channel return button to go back and forth. Lag time when switching channels is a bit too long for my liking. DVD works and plays well. Very convenient.
