Right Angle Viewfinder October 30, 2008 Harold Borkin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Opteka Professional 1X-2X Right Angle Viewfinder for Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sony, Pentax Digital SLR Cameras br / br /Good product at a fair price. It works as it should. I use it on my Nikon D200.
Solid and useful September 26, 2008 Luving it (Seaside, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought a similar one on eBay, the newer kind 1.2x-2.5x, for $45+ free shipping from Shanghai, China. Very solid build with quality glass and plastic construction. The finder clips off the corners of the camera view finder and presents a rounded rectangle of the original view to the shooter. The view is very clear. The connection piece is made of medal on my version of the product. Three adapters come with the package: two for Canon and one for Nikon (all other major brands are also listed on the three adapters and supposed to be compatible). I use this on my Canon 40D. The connection is perfect, feels the same firmness as the original eye piece. br / br /One negative about this view finder is that you have to have your eye on the rubber piece at the correct angle to actually see the view. In other words, the viewing angle is very narrow. So when I flip the finder down and raise the camera up in the air for overhead shots, the angle finder is of no help because I can't possibly put my eye to the finder in that position. br / br /This is the tool for slow, stationary and meticulous low angle shooting and manual focus on macro works for me. A high definition flip screen like those found on fancy video cameras would be far more useful for over head (or any other awkard position) shooting against fast moving subject (for journalists/candid shots, etc)I think. br / br /All in all, this is a wonderful tool if you find the right version. Do check out on eBay before buying here. I think there're maybe 3-4 vendors selling almost identical product with vast different prices. BTW, I am not a seller or in anyway related to any of the sellers of this device.
Not bad for the price September 20, 2008 MagicCamera (New York) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Handy to have, good quality product, takes getting used to looking down to look forward at something though. It's all just how you can learn to perceive things from different perspectives. Overall, I give it a fair mark for a fair price.
One of the best in a stander Angle Viewfinder out there. September 14, 2008 Audwin (Georgia ,USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
It will get the job done when the Client is Three feet high, and it's at the time when the keens are all gone no more bending low at the last client of the day.
Great product to own August 27, 2008 Jason W. Auw (USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This item is good to have if you like to shoot on lower level. It can bend side to side like 360 degree. However it cannot bend back and ford. You can zoom in and out 1X to 2X. There is no grid line available inside the scope. I wish there is.
