2 out of 5 stars Ok Monitor but...   November 16, 2008
Justin Freye (California)
I agree with most of what other people have said about this monitor, that its a good, but not great monitor, that sells for a decent price. When mine was working I was pleased with it. However I recently had some problems with mine and found that Dell did not assign a "service tag" to this piece of hardware. This makes it pretty much impossible to receive any sort of online tech support. So unless you like being on the phone with someone from India the 3 year warranty has some severe limitations. I was seriously blown away that they would pull something like this, but there are other companies out there to buy from.

5 out of 5 stars Great for gaming   August 20, 2008

I hooked this up to my PS3 with an DVI to HDMI cable. It works great as a cheap alternative to an HDTV if the only reason you want one is gaming. I also use it for computing, the widescreen really clears up your desktop space. br / The viewing angle could be wider, but this seems pretty common among the HD widescreen monitors I've seen.

4 out of 5 stars Not a bad monitor...   August 20, 2008
J. L. O'Dowd
I've had no problem with this monitor. No dead cells, no ghosting. I use it for my computer and my Playstation 3 and it has worked great for the money I paid. Of course it doesn't have the picture quality of a 500 dollar monitor but it's definitely worth it for the price. The only bad thing I can think of so far is maybe the viewing angle of the screen could be a little better and the backlighting in a dark room on a black screen shows a little.

2 out of 5 stars poor colors   July 31, 2008

As was pointed out in previous reviews, this monitor has sever color issues. A co-worker and I both recently got this monitor, and are not satisfied. The default settings are horrible. And even using a color calibration device only somewhat improved the colors. Still have sever problems with light gray colors and you have too look at the monitor absolutely straight, any change in your viewing angel will decrease the color accuracy further.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent 22" Monitor, Good value!   July 24, 2008

My company has been using 19" LCD screens from Dell, and the 22" monitor has been a great upgrade for an affordable price. br /The native resolution is 1680x1050 which is about 35% more working space compared to 19" screens. This dramatically increases productivity since my employees can now practically work with 2 applications side by side. br / br /The brightness and contrast is good, and using the DVI connection helps clarity of the texts and images. br / br /I also have the compatible speaker (AS501PA) attached to the monitors which is a great addition to the screen.
