This is a wonderful and compact keyboard that gives you the ability to more easily type on your devices such as an iPAD WIFI and 3G or mobile phone. Keep your iPAD at a slight distance and type away just like you are on a computer. This product is even better when combined with the Menotek 16 Position Stand(ASIN B003K1VABO) or the Menotek Travel and Car USB Charger Kit (ASIN B003VCYX9I). The charger kit will allow you to charge your keyboard with the USB Charging cable included with the keyboard without needing a computer.

How To Connect To iPad/iPhone4
-Turn on the bluetooth on the iPad/iPhone 4
-Turn on the power on the keyboard
-Press connect on the keyboard. The red star will start blinking. It keeps blinking until it is sync'd or times out
-Have the iPad/iPhone 4 search for bluetooth devices
-Select the keyboard after iPad/iPhone 4 finds it
-Then the iPad/iPhone 4 will give you a code to type on the bluetooth keyboard using the # keys on the keyboard and press ENTER. It should connect the 2 devices together
How To Connect To iOS4
-Works with only iPhone 4 and 3GS. Other devices that use iOS4 might not be compatible such as iPod Touch and iPhone 3G.
How To Connect To iPhone 3GS
-Upgrade phone to iOS4 and follow the instructions above for iPad
-iPhone 3G does not support bluetooth keyboard even with iOS4.

 Great idea, but didn't last September 5, 2010

I loved this product, it got me through a two week trip to Africa with only an iPad and iPhone... but then on my next trip, the vertical column of keys including the L stopped working entirely. So... no typing! Oh well, buying myself a hardshell fold-out keyboard I think. I love the portability, but I need to be sure that I'm going to have something that works!

I bought this keyboard thinking I could use it to type notes with my ipad at school. No. The first one I got worked for a few months during the summer, then the middle row of keys stopped working, so I sent it back and they gave me a new one. It was about three weeks into the school year, and the T and backspace keys no longer work. If you're looking at this keyboard to stay on your desk, it'll be great, but if you actually want to take it out into the world, I'd suggest you try a more traditional keyboard.
In short, it's a great idea, but they came up short on the execution.

I bought this after slaving over dozens of search results on how to hook up a keyboard to my ipod touch, which I use all the time for notes and felt like it could easily be a netbook replacement. After almost going ultra nerdy and attempting to jailbreak and make homemade bluetooth hacks, I find OS4 magnificently has bluetooth keyboard support! Voila! My search for the holy grail keyboard had been solved,and at 30 some dollars, wasnt too much! My only gripe with this keyboard, which so far has been impressive, is in the design- id prefer trading waterproof silicone for a fold up one that could be a little larger and also more elegant for popping in the backpack/ purse. ( its akward to roll this baby up without some sorta holder). Connecting is simple, just turn on bluetooth, enter the code the ipod gives you onto your keyboard and you're good to go. It charges via a USB plug which is supposed to give it pretty long battery life ( havent tested long enough to weigh in on this). Another minor gripe which I hope I can grow out of is that I keep hitting the CAPS key since the keyboard is squishy and a bit smaller than what I'm used to. But all in all, a thumbs up.

I love the keyboard. It is very portable and has fantastic battery life. Easy to pair and connect with iPad. The keyboard is very responsive, almost too responsive. Overall, I enjoy the product and would buy again from seller.
