I spent some time reading reviews of HDMI cables. If you do that, you will find that the price differences in cables are mind boggling. It really does appear that retail stores are making up for low margins on electronic equipment by charging outrageous prices for certain peripherals and cables. br / br /I purchased the Cables To Go cables based on reviews which basically said they worked as advertised. They were not the very cheapest but they are much less expensive than the cables found in most retail stores. br / br /When I tested my new OPPO DV-980H upconverting DVD player, I found out that these Cables To Go cables do indeed work as advertised. I initially tested the OPPO DV-980H on a Panasonic Versa HDTV that was supposed to display at 1080p. When I used the HDMI cable suppled by OPPO, the OPPO DVD player would not upconvert to 1080p. So I switched out that cable for one of the Cables To Go cables since they are certified to run 1080p, and the OPPO immediately began to display 1080p. What more can I say, they are reasonably priced, and they work.

Purchased this cable based on cost. Using the cable to connect a cable DVR box to an HDTV, haven't noticed any problems; both picture and sound come in crystal clear. Makes me wonder why other brands of HDMI cables are so expensive.

I've ordered 3 of these cables so far, and have been using them to connect my PS3, DVD, and Cable box to my HDTV for about a year with no issues at all. The cables are not weighty but nor are they flimsy. I've had Monster cables which have thicker wires and larger, weightier connectors, but honestly these perform just as well as Monster in my experience. If you need HDMI cables, I would highly recommend these.
