with the actual sony battery being like 3x the price of this one, its a great alternative. i bought one for my friend who bought my cam off me (sony vx1000). he says it lasts him days at a time before recharging. he uses it for skateboarding so a lot of starting and stopping as well as long recording sessions. all my old sony batteries are losing theyre charge so i might have to get one myself soon!
