Excellent choice! November 22, 2008 Orion (Las Vegas, NV USA) I bought this camera for my husband for his birthday, then promptly confiscated it for myself! I absolutely love it. It is small - as small as a cell phone and very thin. It fits in my purse or jeans pocket, so it ends up going everywhere with me. Special moments at restaurants, at the park with the kids, at school functions, etc., would have been lost in the past because it was too much effort to carry a bulky camera around. Now I am having a grand time taking pictures of EVERYTHING. br / br /I think the user interface is great. It is easy to use, and it also feels good, clicking on the options with the little plastic stylus that attaches to the wrist cord. It's convenient and fun. br / br /The pictures are coming out great. I'm not a professional photographer by any means, so mostly I just depend on the "Auto" feature, and it works fine. Even close-ups of plants and flowers turn out well. You can take a picture at full resolution, then trim it down to size, and get excellent focus of small objects. br / br /My kids are getting a kick out of the smile-recognition feature. It's just a gimmick, but it is fun and it seems to work well. I love this camera.
Sony at its Best!! November 21, 2008 Daniel 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got this item and it is beyond amazing. I had a Sony T100 and sold it and bought this one because of its large touch screen. The touch screen works great and it does not scratch easily. Its like my Ipod touch for functuality of the screen. Very easy to use once you get familiar where all the menus are and easy to point and shoot. br / br /Quote: "The screen Scratches easily, Poor picture Qulity, Horrible quality for Sony, Freezes, slow" These are some examples i took from other reviews on many sites and wanted to let you know that all of these are wrong. They are most likely from people who are bias for a certain company, design or does not like Sony. All of these things that were picked out by these people are not accurate its actually the opposite. The Screen dosent scratch easily, good picture quality, excellent feel and quality of the camera and never freezes. br / br /If you are to buy a camera for everyday use and dont want to spend 1,000 on a SLR Camera and are like me this is the perfect camera to use!! So this is a must buy for 2008!
Excellent November 20, 2008 astroguy This camera exceeded my expectations. Plenty of setting options ... beautiful screen... responsive to finger or stylus touch ... takes beautiful pictures and its fun to use. br / br / br / br /
